Job Description
My client seeks a highly motivated pharmacologist with a strong background in oncology to take on the following responsibilities:
--lead a pharmacology research team in the discovery and development of novel oncology therapeutics with a focus on in vivo pharmacology studies.
-- identify and implement strategy to take molecules from early discovery efforts through development candidate nomination, IND application, and early clinical trials. 
--serve as a project team representative as well as provide mentorship to more junior scientists, some of who are serving as project team representatives.
--work independently and productively in a molecular biology/pharmacology laboratory and have strong organizational skills.
Requirements:
-- Ph.D. in molecular biology/pharmacology
-- 5+ years of industry experience working on pharmacology programs for multiple small molecules is required. 
--Experience working on INDs and in mentoring and managing junior scientists. 
--Working knowledge of in vivo oncology models of disease. 
--Excellent written and oral communication skills are required and the individual should be able to work in a cross-functional team environment. 

Title will be commensurate with experience (Senior Scientist, Associate Director, Director)
