The MedStar Health Research Institute is actively seeking qualified applications for a Pre-Clinical Research Lab Manager to direct our pre clinical research laboratory facilities in Washington DC and Baltimore. This position works collaboratively with research investigators and staff, the AVP-Research Operations, the IACUC, facilities personnel, and others to maintain a quality pre-clinical research program. The Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations governing care, husbandry, and health and welfare components to maintain AAALAC accreditation; supervising technicians and junior staff; and managing the administrative duties of the pre-clinical research lab, including personnel, lab facility, and financial administration..
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
*Bachelors degree in biology or other associated field
*LATg certification
Experience:
* Total of 5 years relevant work experience, with a minimum of three years overseeing a pre-clinical research laboratory in a management or supervisory role.
