Job Description
A progressive family owned swine business, one of the top three swine producers in the Midwest that has been a leader in food production for over 25 years, is seeking talented people to help deliver high quality, safe & wholesome pork product to consumers. The position will focus on achieving stated goals and strategies to accomplish the vision and growth of the company. They have operations in several Midwestern states all providing an outstanding and professional work setting. This position is located in North Central Iowa.
To Be Considered for this Role:
You must have a minimum of 5 years of sow farm management experience ideally with multi-site responsibility and a BS degree in Animal Science or equivalent education/work experience.
You must have experience in Proper Production Techniques; handling employee situations; managing and directing various farm management teams and overseeing system wide concerns as the relate to: Staffing; Training; Safety & Bio-Security; Maintenance; Waste Management; Transportation and Purchasing Programs.
Management:
Your experience will allow you to manage operations at farms and farm manager who, in turn, manage people. You will be responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the farms & their managers. You will ensure managers are optimizing performance; safety procedures are in place; repairs and maintenance are within budget; implement improvements in production techniques; oversee deliveries and set production goals.
