Job Description
One of the top pork producers in the United States is seeking to continually improve their product offerings by attracting an experienced quality assurance professional that is a dedicated SQF practioner. The position is located at their corporate headquarters in Hatfield, PA.
To be considered for this role:
You must have 5-7 years of quality assurance experience in a meat processing environment; a BS degree in Animal or Food Science or other food related field and be a Certified
SQF
Practioner or
BRC
Experience implementing
SQF
to level 3 and
SQF
compliance or implementation to
BRC.
Proficient with documentation & workflow; SPC; and problem solving.
Compliance:
You will use your extensive background and experience to develop, implement and maintain the SQF program at all of the company facilities along with regulatory compliance, customer/consumer requirements in the areas of product quality. Will also develop Quality & Animal Handling policies & procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
You will also utilize SPC to drive continuous improvement; develop programs to deal with customer complaints – First Time Quality Failures & root cause analysis. Will also oversee shelf-life program and actively participate in the Trade Organization Committees – specifically AMI Animal Handling Task Force & AMI Inspection Committee and will lead the Animal Handling Task Force for the company.
